Linux Traffic Shaper doesn't check for security permissions
28 Dec. 1999
Summary
The traffic shaper is a Linux driver that creates new interface devices, which are traffic-limited in a user-defined way. They rely on physical network devices for actual transmission and can be used as outgoing routed for network traffic. This package has been found to contain a vulnerability that allows ordinary users to increase/decrease the limit on any available "shaped" device.
