An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.
TYPSoft FTP Server is prone to an overflow condition. The APPE command fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input resulting in a buffer overflow. With a specially crafted APPE command request, a remote attacker can potentially cause the server to become unresponsive.
