16 May. 2015
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Coach NG framework in IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) 8.0 through 126.96.36.199, 8.5.0 through 188.8.131.52, and 8.5.5 through 184.108.40.206 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL.
* IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) through 220.127.116.11
* IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) after 18.104.22.168
A vulnerability was reported in IBM Business Process Manager. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. The BPM Coach NG Framework does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the IBM Business Process Manager software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
