30 Jun. 2016
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the document-list control implementation in IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) 8.0 through 188.8.131.52, 8.5.0 through 184.108.40.206, and 8.5.5 and 8.5.6 through 220.127.116.11 allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL..
* IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) 8.0 through 18.104.22.168, 8.5.0 through 22.214.171.124, and 8.5.5 and 8.5.6 through 126.96.36.199
* IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) 8.0 after 188.8.131.52, 8.5.0 after 184.108.40.206, and 8.5.5 and 8.5.6 after 220.127.116.11
The document list control does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the IBM Business Process Manager software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
