RealNetworks recently admitted that its RealJukebox application records the user's activities and habits, sending the information back to RealNetworks.
The company claims to gather this information in order to customize the service for individuals, but this seems to be a clear violation of privacy by RealNetworks. |

There are over 13.5 million registered users of RealJukebox - which is used to play compact disks and music files from the local drive or the Internet. Information about all these users is sent back to RealNetworks, including the specific type of music, file formats and number of songs stored on the local drive. This information is sent along with a unique identifier, which identifies the user and enables RealNetworks to maintain a database with information about individual users.
