According to Newsweek magazine, the CIA was given permission to hire computer hackers to attack Milosevic's foreign bank accounts and sabotage his campaign.
This is the first time a war is "fought" in the Cyber territory as well as in the battlefield, and can create an interesting precedent for the future.
This has been of course denied by the CIA, and a few other web site across the internet have been reporting that it might be false, as 'neworder' a well respected news resource says:
"This story was first reported by News Week, which now says it does not have access to it's original report. There are many 'falsehoods' to this story, besides News Week. The whole thing just sounds National Enquirer`ish."
Only time will tell whether this is true.
