An ATT wireless PCS phone with Tier-2 voicemail (SMS text messaging via an email gateway, such as 612-555-1212 which in fact becomes 6125551212@mobile.att.net), can be attacked by sending a few thousand messages, and according to AT&T Customer Service, there's no way for them to clear the message queue.
AT&T's official advice is: "Press Menu -> Messages -> Text -> Erase All ->
Security Code -> OK" (Of course since some messages are still in queue and were not downloaded to the cell phone, those will not be deleted until they are downloaded from the Cellular provider).
