Hushmail is a new web based e-mail system that provides encrypted mail services.
Offering a special patented 1024 bit encryption services, Hushmail uses a Java applet to guarantee the e-mail remains encrypted all the way up to the browser, making it impossible for eaves-droppers to read the mail on the way.
To avoid the US-export regulations, Hushmail claim all the cryptographic code was written overseas - in Anguilla. |

Hushmail offers a free web mail service, making money from advertising. All the basic web mail services are offered, giving the choice between a regular account, and an anonymous account where the email is sent anonymously. However, attachments are not supported and cannot be sent or received using Hushmail
