ClawFinger a memory resident virus that infects every COM or EXE file that is accessed on an infected machine. It attempts to infect the WIN.COM, COMMAND.COM in order to reside in memory when the system boots.
ClawFinger also spreads through IRC channels, by modifying mIRC's MIRC.INI configuration file. The INI file is modified to run a script called MIRC_SYS.INI, that sends a file called CYBER.COM (which is infected with the ClawFinger virus) as soon as the user disconnects from the channel.
On September 1st (depending on some random value) the virus wipes the flash BIOS memory using BIOS extended functions.
