The NSFOCUS Security Team has found an exploitable buffer overflow vulnerability in the dynamic link library perlIS.dll of ActivePerl. The overflow occurs whenever it handles an overly long filename. Exploitation of this vulnerability would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code. We reported about this in our previous article: ActivePerl PerlIS.dll Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability.
