Cisco's router software was found to have a software leaks which causes it to transfer certain IP datagrams to incorrect network interfaces even though they were not allowed to go their by the access lists.
The reported vulnerability may permit a malicious user to send packets to parts of the network he was not permitted to send to. This is caused by the software module called DFS (Distributed Fast Switching) not correctly handling requests.
